About The Position

The Manager, Sourcing & Supplier Management - Technology at Mastercard is responsible for managing the full scope of the company's supply chain to effectively meet business needs while mitigating risks. This role involves developing and executing global sourcing strategies, assessing supplier risks, and enhancing supplier diversity across various technology divisions.

Requirements

  • Sourcing experience specifically with Technology categories such as Software, Hardware, Cloud, Telecom, and/or Services.
  • Experience developing and managing senior and key stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience managing supply chains within business units, reducing costs and risks while improving value and efficiencies.
  • Experience executing sourcing transformation projects and supporting strategic initiatives.
  • Experience managing sourcing processes and operations.
  • Experience with Risk Management.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large cross-functional projects and process improvement efforts.
  • Experience identifying capability gaps and building/growing skills within the team.
  • Exposure to delivering presentations and engaging with senior leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Technology, Supply Chain, and/or Business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the supply base across several technology divisions to reduce costs and maximize value.
  • Provide expertise on market conditions, industry trends, category/product knowledge, and emerging supply options.
  • Partner with Sourcing and Third Party Risk Management functions as well as all business and finance functions to understand historical spend data and future demands.
  • Strengthen relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Administer procure-to-pay policies through training and transparent communication.
  • Contribute to the strategic sourcing process by analyzing spend, defining requirements, developing strategies, authoring RFx's, and negotiating contracts.
  • Manage improvement initiatives and enhance supplier performance while mitigating risk.
  • Negotiate large transactions.
