About the position

The Event Planning Manager serves as the main point of contact for corporate and social event clients during the latter stages of sales conversion and during post-contract signing. This role is crucial for ensuring the success of events from the planning phase through to execution. The Event Planning Manager is responsible for delivering an exceptional hospitality experience for all customer types, which includes conducting planning site tours and coordinating with event contacts to identify upsell and enhancement opportunities that can generate additional revenue for Northstar 8 and the Skyboxes. In addition to client interaction, the Event Planning Manager must maintain extensive knowledge about all culinary offerings, event spaces, and services provided. This knowledge is essential for creating and sharing event order information with sales, operations, culinary, and AV teams to ensure seamless execution of events. The role also involves addressing customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and effectively, with the ability to escalate issues to the General Manager when necessary. The Event Planning Manager will support the sales team in developing new business and securing sales contracts, as well as conducting post-event evaluations to gather feedback from clients and attendees. This feedback is vital for identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes for future events. Additionally, the manager may need to step in to fulfill operational tasks and duties in areas where employees have not yet been hired or when backfilling is required.
