About the position

The role within The Coca-Cola Company's Finance Hub focuses on managing the audit process for multiple entities in the newly established Global Statutory & Sustainability Reporting Center of Excellence (CoE). It involves ensuring timely and accurate audit deliverables, liaising with external auditors, and managing compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The position emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and the evolution of statutory reporting processes through standardization and technology leverage.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the audit process for multiple entities in the region, ensuring alignment of appropriate audit timelines.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of audit deliverables and liaise with external auditors to resolve audit issues and queries.
  • Monitor and manage audit timelines to ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including timely escalations as needed.
  • Stay current with the latest statutory reporting rules and requirements applicable to the legal entities under remit.
  • Work with pension actuaries and other internal teams to ensure the US GAAP defined benefit pension accounting process and entries are appropriate and accurate.
  • Support other Stat SDLs on global activities, such as defined benefit pension accounting and process changes in local GAAP impairment accounting.
  • Collaborate and communicate with multiple cross-functional stakeholders from various points of the enterprise's organizational hierarchy.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the statutory reporting center of excellence to standardize data gathering, preparation, and audit execution processes, leveraging up-to-date technology and controls.
  • Partner effectively with other Finance Hub teams, Corporate Development, Corporate Tax, Accounting Research, and audit service providers primarily to support the audit process.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Finance including preparing financial statements and working in external audit.
  • ACCA, CIMA, ACA, with MBA or IFRS postgrad qualifications preferred.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS/Local GAAP as discipline basis for statutory reporting.
  • General knowledge of regulatory environments.
  • Understanding of financial and/or information tools and systems.
  • Relevant involvement in significant change projects and initiatives desirable.
  • Experience in a multinational company with a global footprint.
