About the position

The Strategic Finance Manager at Qlik plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) across the organization. This position is responsible for developing a robust KPI framework, managing cross-functional projects to enhance operational efficiency, conducting financial analyses, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The role requires effective communication with senior management and stakeholders to foster financial transparency and support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a robust KPI framework that aligns with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Create and distribute regular reports and dashboards to provide insights into the company's financial health, operational efficiency, and key business metrics.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and transparency in KPI reporting.
  • Conduct analysis and provide actionable recommendations based on KPI performance to support decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-functional projects that enhance operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and revenue growth.
  • Lead project teams, define project scopes, objectives, and timelines, and ensure successful execution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from various departments to align projects with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and track project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and report on project outcomes.
  • Interpret and execute a volume of intercompany requests by working in test environments to ensure data accuracy prior to releasing enhancements to applications.
  • Conduct financial analyses, including budgeting, forecasting, controls, and variance analysis, to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in the development of financial models and scenarios to assess the impact of various strategies and initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations and insights to optimize financial performance and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and industry standards.
  • Identify financial risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in audits and support internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Effectively communicate financial insights, project updates, and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred).
  • 5+ years proven experience in strategic finance, financial analysis, and project management.
  • Experience working in the software industry is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Results-driven with a track record of driving financial improvements.
  • Highly skilled in Excel.
