About the position

The Manager, Strategic Initiatives plays a crucial role in supporting the Chief Operations Officer (COO) by overseeing key projects and ensuring they are executed effectively across the company. This position is designed for individuals who are innovative and entrepreneurial-minded, with a strong work ethic and the ability to inspire others. The role involves strategic planning, project management, and collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance operational performance and drive innovation within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support the COO in leading key projects and insights throughout the company.
  • Set strategy in collaboration with the COO and communicate regularly with stakeholders.
  • Track initiatives and help avoid pitfalls while celebrating successes.
  • Manage projects/workstreams within the Programs and other projects as needed.
  • Direct priorities and organize the leader's office, including critical thinking and problem analysis.
  • Provide enterprise management to optimize resource allocation and flag potential issues.
  • Oversee programs with cross-functional ownership and multiple dependencies.
  • Advise on special projects that require additional support to problem solve.
  • Drive implementation of initiatives by developing detailed workplans and timelines.
  • Conduct business analyses, including performance assessments of existing initiatives.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Create financial models to support strategic endeavors and lead conversations with executive leaders.
  • Develop and implement metrics to measure performance and track progress towards goals.
  • Compile and monitor budgets for the Innovation and Strategic Initiatives COE.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Public Health Administration, or a closely related field required.
  • MBA, MPH, or similarly related advanced degree strongly desired.
  • A minimum of 6 plus years' work experience in innovation, strategic planning, business development, and/or management consulting required; healthcare experience preferred.
  • Expert-level business acuity and understanding of healthcare landscape and strategic implications.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to present data clearly.
  • Demonstrated leadership, client management, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
