Manager, Strategy & Business Operations

About the position

The Strategy & Business Operations team is the swiss-army knife of Helix. We help define, scope, and operationalize critical initiatives across the business. As part of a small team that works closely with leadership, you will have a front row seat to how a company makes decisions to bring a shared vision to life. You will also get your hands dirty across multiple functions - from Business Development and Finance, to Product and Science, and more. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter who is energized by the unknown and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support leadership in developing and implementing strategic initiatives to achieve business priorities
• Lead market research efforts to identify and evaluate opportunities for future growth
• Build strong cross-functional relationships and partner with key stakeholders to ensure effective execution of high-impact projects
• Optimize tools, processes, and automation that improve day-to-day business operations
• Monitor and deliver insights related to key operational and financial metrics to inform business strategy and operational improvements
• Evaluate strategic opportunities to accelerate the business (e.g., strategic partnerships, acquisitions, etc.)
• Prepare presentations, forecasts, and other materials for quarterly Board meetings
• Always be where the fire is hottest - jump in to help solve the most critical challenges

Requirements

• BA or BS degree
• 3 - 5 years of experience in consulting, business operations, corporate strategy, or similar role; experience in health tech industry preferred
• Strategic, structured problem-solver who can organize ambiguous asks into actionable plans
• Detail-oriented while keeping the bigger picture in mind
• Adaptable to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to deliver insights and tell a compelling story using data
• Highly proficient with G Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides), macOS

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Tableau, Thoughtspot, and/or Hubspot
• Familiarity with diagnostics and/or genomics
