About the position

At Northrop Grumman, we are seeking a Manager of Supply Chain to join our team in Madison, Alabama. This position plays a critical role in supporting strategic captures and proposals, managing cost account responsibilities, and overseeing material analysts in support of material budgets. The successful candidate will establish and manage priorities in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment, ensuring that all Global Supply Chain (GSC) proposal pricing is adequately reviewed and approved prior to submission. This role requires a thorough understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) criteria, as well as the ability to advise leadership on any issues or risks that may arise. The Manager of Supply Chain will also participate in major proposals and initiatives within Pricing and GSC, including Non-Advocate Review (NAR) and Independent Cost Estimate (ICE) reviews. The position involves developing and communicating risk management plans, making decisions on operational issues, and managing a team of professionals, including mentoring and conducting performance reviews. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, pricing, and estimating methods, and will be able to implement process improvements across pricing and estimating policies and procedures. This role is not only about managing processes but also about leading a team to achieve Global Supply Chain, Program, and sector objectives while maintaining compliance during all stages of the proposal and acquisition processes. The position requires the ability to travel as needed, up to 10% of the time, and offers a competitive salary range of $142,000 to $213,000, along with comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting Strategic Captures and Proposals
  • Managing Cost Account Management responsibilities and material analysts in support of material budgets
  • Establishing and managing priorities in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment
  • Managing cost/price analyst professionals engaged in pricing and estimating activities
  • Ensuring all GSC proposal pricing is adequately reviewed and approved prior to submission
  • Ensuring Estimating and Purchasing System compliance with FAR/DFARS criteria
  • Supporting all DCAA proposal audits in coordination with the Sector Manager of Internal Reviews
  • Participating on major proposals and initiatives within Pricing and GSC
  • Developing and communicating Risk Management Plans
  • Making decisions on operational issues and managing a staff of professionals
  • Developing, planning, and implementing agile processes that support established GSC goals and objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 14 years of experience; MS with 12 years; PhD with 9 years; or additional years in lieu of a degree
  • Experience with defense proposals and working on key captures
  • Cost Account Management experience
  • Thorough knowledge of FAR/DFARS and other applicable government regulations
  • Ability to perform and apply appropriate cost accounting, pricing, and estimating methods
  • Ability to work as an integral member of the GSC team to achieve objectives
  • Ability to initiate and implement process improvement across pricing and estimating policies

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Past experience with DCAA/DCMA audits
  • Professional Certifications: CPSM, CFCM, CPCM
