About the position

The Manager, Supply Chain Asset Management at the University of Miami/UHealth is responsible for overseeing strategic capital equipment deployment and fleet management across the health system. This role aims to support a collaborative, efficient, and cost-effective process while actively participating in the Capital Committee. The manager will work closely with various teams to facilitate the capital equipment process, from market intelligence assessment to procurement and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the medical equipment liaison to UHealth facility department directors, C-Suite, and physicians.
  • Assist in implementing UHealth Standards of business practices, market standardization, and consumption minimization.
  • Align efforts with the Finance Department to identify opportunities for standardization and sourcing initiatives.
  • Continuously assess the impact of capital equipment deployment to meet community needs.
  • Support the development of facility-level annual capital budgets and monitor compliance throughout the fiscal year.
  • Participate in negotiation and management of capital equipment purchase, lease, and rental agreements.
  • Advise on capital equipment through value analysis committees for cost reduction and quality improvements.
  • Implement fleet management strategies and solutions.
  • Interface with management and external contacts to develop solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2+ years of Healthcare experience in a health system.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment, business, and management principles.
  • Ability to analyze equipment fleets for optimization and utilization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and presentation skills.
  • Strong project planning and management skills, preferably with Smartsheet.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills for creating and delivering presentations.
  • Strong Excel and Business Intelligence skills, including the ability to analyze Pivot tables.

Nice-to-haves

  • Academic health system experience preferred.
  • Any relevant education, certifications, and/or work experience may be considered.
