About the position

The Supply Chain Technology Manager at AES Corporation is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing technical solutions to enhance efficiencies and standardization across various aspects of the supply chain. This role involves overseeing the assessment and optimization of existing technologies, deploying new tools, and managing the integration of these solutions with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. The position requires collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure effective supply chain operations and data management.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement technical solutions for supply chain processes.
  • Assess, optimize, and upgrade existing supply chain technologies.
  • Identify and deploy new tools and solutions to enhance supply chain operations.
  • Lead the implementation of new tools, including integration with ERPs and change management.
  • Improve management of master data across supply chain tools.
  • Analyze systems data and build reports and KPIs using AES data visualization tools.
  • Manage technical support and governance of supply chain systems.
  • Monitor the market for new solutions and prepare business cases for adoption.
  • Promote the usage and adoption of systems within the supply chain and across AES.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in supply chain processes related to sourcing and procurement.
  • Deep knowledge of supplier performance evaluation and data management.
  • Experience with technical solutions and systems in the supply chain area.
  • Strong project management skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain processes including negotiation and contracting.
  • Experience with AI and ML solutions for supply chain management.
  • Strong computer skills and experience in supplier management.

  • Global experience and ability to work well with diverse cultures.
  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP.
