About the position

This position at HCSC is responsible for overseeing, developing, and implementing the early careers hiring strategy and initiatives. This includes managing apprenticeships, college graduate opportunities, internships, and other programs aimed at building a strong talent pipeline for early careers. The role emphasizes collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure effective communication and execution of early career initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Execute all program milestones including active sourcing and recruiting for early careers programs.
  • Partner with leadership teams and HRBPs to ensure clear communication on expectations and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders for trainings, recruiting events, and employee engagement activities.
  • Identify future skill needs for early career pipelines in collaboration with HRBPs and L&D.
  • Facilitate a healthy onboarding culture in partnership with the employee engagement team.
  • Manage recruiting forecast needs and the calendar of events for program management.
  • Oversee the budget allocated for early careers initiatives and partner with leadership on related topics.
  • Establish employer branding and marketing strategies for the Early Careers Program.
  • Support recruitment efforts for high school, intern, new grad, and apprentice recruitment cycles and events.
  • Lead summer learning activities, social events, and networking for early career participants.
  • Build strong relationships across HCSC with business leaders and HR stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on trends and market practices to maintain a competitive offering for early careers talent.
  • Collaborate with Blue University (L&D) to develop best practices and new programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, marketing, communications or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in leading or building early career, apprenticeship, or university relations programs, or 9 years of related experience.
  • 1 year of management or leadership experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working with and recruiting from colleges, high schools, and organizations supporting apprenticeship programs.
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of recruiting technology such as Workday, Peoplesoft, or Taleo.
