This position will oversee, develop, and implement HCSC's early careers hiring strategy and initiatives including apprenticeships, college graduate opportunities, college internship opportunities, high school opportunities and other early careers initiatives required to support the development of HCSC's early careers talent pipeline. Executing all program milestones including active sourcing, recruiting, as well as continuous improvement of all HCSC early careers programs. The role requires partnering with leadership teams and HRBPs to ensure clear, timely communication on expectations and deliverables of all early career initiatives. Coordination and partnership with internal stakeholders including but not limited to trainings, recruiting events, internal lunch and learns, employee and recruiting events, etc. is essential. Additionally, the position involves collaborating with HRBPs and L&D to identify future skill needs and requirements for early career pipelines, and partnering with the employee engagement team to facilitate and cultivate a healthy and robust employee onboarding culture. Managing and supporting recruiting forecast needs, and calendar of events for ongoing build out and management of the program is a key responsibility. The manager will also oversee the budget allocated and partner with leadership on all related topics. Working with internal stakeholders on establishing employer brand and marketing strategy for the Early Careers Program is crucial. The role supports the recruitment team with high school, intern, new grad and apprentice recruitment cycles and events, including information sessions and other recruitment activities as needed. Leading and driving summer high school, intern, new grad and apprentice learning activities, social events, and networking is also part of the job. Building strong relationships across HCSC, including with business leaders, as well as internal HR stakeholders, is vital to ensure HCSC maintains a competitive offering for early careers talent by staying updated on trends and market practices. Collaborating with Blue University (L&D) to share best practices, develop new programs, and ensure HCSC's early careers program is best in class in sourcing, recruiting, and hiring top talent to the organization is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, develop, and implement HCSC's early careers hiring strategy and initiatives.
  • Execute all program milestones including active sourcing and recruiting.
  • Partner with leadership teams and HRBPs to ensure clear communication on expectations and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders for trainings, recruiting events, and employee engagement activities.
  • Identify future skill needs for early career pipelines in collaboration with HRBPs and L&D.
  • Facilitate a healthy employee onboarding culture with the employee engagement team.
  • Manage recruiting forecast needs and calendar of events for the program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, marketing, communications or related field.
  • 5 years experience in leading or building early career, apprenticeship or university relations programs or initiatives, or 9 years of related field experience.
  • 1 year of management or leadership experience.
  • Creative problem solver with exceptional communication skills.
  • Experience working with and recruiting from colleges, high schools, and/or organizations supporting apprenticeship programs.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Knowledge of and experience with recruiting technology (i.e. Workday, Peoplesoft, Taleo, etc.).
