About the position

The Manager, Talent Acquisition at Day & Zimmermann is responsible for leading and strategizing recruitment efforts for the Government Services and Munitions divisions. This role requires a seasoned professional to balance day-to-day recruitment operations with strategic partnerships, driving talent excellence and operational effectiveness across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will mentor a team of Talent Acquisition Partners, implement innovative hiring strategies, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations while focusing on veteran and military hiring programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Talent Acquisition Partners across multiple locations.
  • Address hiring demands with innovative strategies for high-volume and specialized roles.
  • Partner strategically with senior leaders to shape workforce strategies using market insights.
  • Oversee recruitment operations and ensure the team meets key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Recruit for leadership roles at the Director level and above with a strategic approach.
  • Drive innovation in recruitment marketing and talent sourcing, focusing on veteran hiring programs.
  • Ensure compliance with OFCCP, EEOC, and other regulations.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of proven experience leading and mentoring Talent Acquisition teams across multiple locations.
  • Experience in high-volume hourly recruitment and niche staff roles.
  • Strategic mindset with strong relationship-building skills with senior leaders.
  • Experience in developing hiring initiatives in Engineering and specialized disciplines.
  • Expertise in using data and metrics for decision-making and presenting insights to leadership.
  • Knowledge of recruitment marketing strategies and talent sourcing best practices.
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements in government contracting, including OFCCP and EEOC regulations.
