About the position

Ferguson is seeking a dedicated leader to join our team as Manager - Talent Acquisition Operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the operations of the Talent Acquisition function, focusing on optimizing recruitment processes, implementing best practices, and managing the tools and systems that support our recruitment efforts. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of recruitment operations, technology, and data-driven decision-making. This position is designed for someone who is passionate about building a high-performing team and enhancing the candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. As the Manager of Talent Acquisition Operations, you will lead, mentor, and develop a team of Talent Acquisition Coordinators and Talent Sourcers. Your responsibilities will include developing, refining, and implementing efficient recruitment processes to ensure a smooth and effective candidate experience. You will identify opportunities for enhancements and continuous improvement within the recruitment process, collaborating closely with Talent Acquisition teams to ensure alignment with business objectives. Additionally, you will evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance the Talent Acquisition process, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture. Building and maintaining relationships with external vendors and partners, including recruitment agencies, job boards, and technology providers, will be a key aspect of your role. You will also ensure that all recruitment practices comply with relevant laws and regulations, demonstrating a commitment to ethical and compliant hiring practices. This role is approved to be either Remote within the United States or Hybrid in Newport News, VA, in accordance with company policy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Talent Acquisition Coordinators and Talent Sourcers.
  • Develop, refine, and implement efficient recruitment processes to ensure a smooth and effective candidate experience.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancements and continuous improvement with the recruitment process.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance the Talent Acquisition process.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners, including recruitment agencies, job boards, and technology providers.
  • Ensure all recruitment practices comply with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent military/professional experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, or a related field.
  • Prior leadership experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of best practices within Talent Acquisition, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead and optimize vendor relationships and recruitment processes.
  • Demonstrated history of functioning as a strategic business partner, collaborating with senior leadership and key partners to align recruitment and workforce strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with confidence in using data to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of driving process improvements.
  • Proficiency in Workday and other relevant HR technologies.
