About the position

The Recruiting Operations Manager at Underdog will lead and optimize recruiting operations, focusing on enhancing candidate experience and internal efficiency. This role involves managing recruiting tools, building scalable processes, and shaping the employer brand while utilizing data to drive decisions. The position also includes managing a team and ensuring compliance with employment laws, all while staying ahead of recruiting trends.

Responsibilities

  • Own and optimize all aspects of recruiting operations, including managing the applicant tracking system (ATS) and job boards.
  • Create and refine recruiting processes that improve candidate experience and internal efficiency.
  • Lead efforts to design, implement, and manage recruiting programs focusing on candidate sourcing and referral programs.
  • Manage a Recruiting Operations Associate, coaching and developing the team.
  • Work with talent acquisition, marketing, and communications teams to shape the employer brand and ensure a consistent message.
  • Analyze key recruiting metrics and develop reports to inform recruiting decisions.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and leadership to manage the headcount planning process.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring practices.
  • Stay updated on recruiting technologies and best practices.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in talent acquisition or recruiting operations in a fast-growing environment.
  • Proven track record of managing tools and vendor relationships for recruiting tools and an ATS.
  • Excellent capability in designing, scaling, and optimizing internal processes, leveraging technology where appropriate.
  • Experience collaborating with leadership teams on headcount planning to align recruiting needs with business goals.
  • Comfort designing and leading trainings and resources for interviewers, hiring managers, and recruiters.
  • Data-driven mindset, comfortable measuring the success of recruiting initiatives and using metrics to inform strategy.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solver, capable of navigating ambiguity and proposing and implementing solutions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience leading a headcount planning process for HR, leadership, and Finance.
  • Experience leading tool and vendor RFP processes.
  • Experience leading employer branding and crafting a compelling narrative for potential candidates.
  • Previous experience as a recruiter and/or in a technology/process strategy role.
