About the position

DISH, an EchoStar company, is seeking a Manager of Talent Acquisition Strategic Initiatives to lead the development and ongoing support of recruitment programs. This role is pivotal in enhancing the recruitment process and ensuring a positive candidate experience. The Manager will report to the Head of Talent Acquisition Operations and Shared Services and will oversee various internal programs, including Immigration and Interviewer Certification. The position involves managing a small team of 4-6 subject matter experts who specialize in areas such as process improvement, immigration, and internal training programs. The Manager will be responsible for ensuring a positive and engaging candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. This includes developing and implementing strategies to enhance candidate engagement and satisfaction. Additionally, the role requires providing leadership to all projects, which encompasses project scope, planning, development, and rollout, including change management, communication, and training to internal teams and stakeholders. A significant aspect of this position is process optimization, where the Manager will analyze recruitment processes and metrics to identify areas for improvement. The goal is to implement best practices and innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, candidate experience, and overall program effectiveness. The Manager will focus on continuous process improvement by leveraging external market and industry data and facilitating cross-functional collaborative working sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a small team of 4-6 subject matter experts in areas such as process improvement, immigration, and internal training programs.
  • Ensure a positive and engaging candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance candidate engagement and satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership to all projects including project scope, planning, development, and rollout.
  • Oversee change management, communication, and training to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Analyze recruitment processes and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and overall program effectiveness.
  • Leverage external market and industry data for continuous process improvement.
  • Facilitate cross-functional and collaborative working sessions.

Requirements

  • College degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience either leading HR or recruiting teams, or 5 years experience in a program management role.
  • Prior leadership/management experience required.
  • Experience working with an ATS, CRM, and other similar tools and platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Recruiting and HR functions and their interdependencies.
  • Program or Project Management experience, including tracking progress and aligning resources around program deliverables.
  • Ability to develop a program roadmap and executive summary of program progress.
  • Strong knowledge of operational functions and how to measure and manage service level agreements and key performance indicators.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with little direction and produce results.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Certification in HR or Project Management.
