About the position

Axiom, a leading global marketplace for on-demand legal talent, is seeking a Manager of Talent Acquisition to join our North America Talent team. This role is pivotal as Axiom continues to revolutionize the legal industry by matching highly credentialed lawyers and legal talent with legal work across various industries and practice areas. The Talent Acquisition Manager will play an integral role in the success and expansion of Axiom's North America legal talent strategy during a critical growth phase for the company. This position offers a high degree of autonomy and the opportunity to build a world-class team of legal talent while working alongside a talented and dynamic group of individuals. In this role, the Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for executing the North America Talent Acquisition strategy, which includes identifying, assessing, and attracting top-tier legal talent through both traditional and innovative recruitment channels. The manager will serve as the primary point of contact for lawyer and legal professional candidates, managing them through the full cycle of recruiting while ensuring a positive, informative, and efficient candidate experience. Additionally, the manager will assist team members in advising key company stakeholders and leaders across North America on industry talent trends, candidate pipeline updates, and recruitment activity levels. The role also involves collaborating with function leaders to develop customized and strategic recruitment plans aimed at attracting lawyers and legal support professionals to work with Axiom's impressive list of clients. Building and maintaining a robust network of legal talent and acting as a strong promoter of Axiom's brand are essential components of this position. Staying current on recruiting issues and trends in the legal industry will inform ongoing recruitment strategies, ensuring Axiom remains competitive in attracting top talent.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the North America Talent Acquisition strategy, including identification, assessment, and attraction of top-tier legal talent through various recruitment channels.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for lawyer and legal professional candidates, managing them through the full cycle of recruiting.
  • Ensure a positive, informative, and efficient candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Advise key company stakeholders and leaders on industry talent trends, candidate pipeline updates, and recruitment activity levels.
  • Develop customized and strategic recruitment plans to attract lawyers and legal support professionals.
  • Build and maintain a robust network of legal talent and promote Axiom's brand effectively.
  • Stay current on recruiting issues and trends in the legal industry to inform ongoing recruitment strategy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional recruiting experience or 5+ years of legal experience or experience within the legal sector.
  • Highly persuasive verbal communication skills and excellent written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with sophisticated candidates and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, initiative, multi-tasking, and organizational abilities.
  • Superb time management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Genuine interest in Axiom's model and its place in the changing legal landscape.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
