About the position

The Talent Acquisition Manager at SHRM will lead and mentor a team of talent acquisition specialists, manage the executive recruitment process, and oversee all talent acquisition operations. This role emphasizes creating an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience, continuously improving recruitment processes, and utilizing data-driven insights to drive results. The manager will also be responsible for managing recruitment vendors and ensuring alignment of talent acquisition practices with the company's long-term goals.

Responsibilities

  • Champion an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand recruitment needs and provide updates.
  • Deliver training and support to hiring managers to improve their interviewing skills.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of talent acquisition specialists.
  • Develop and implement professional development programs for the team.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and guidance to ensure continuous team improvement.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the talent acquisition function.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine recruitment processes for efficiency and satisfaction.
  • Manage recruitment vendors and negotiate contracts for optimal service levels.
  • Oversee recruitment technologies to optimize candidate experience and workflows.
  • Lead the end-to-end executive recruitment process for key leadership roles.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand executive talent needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external search firms as needed.
  • Track and coach team based on key talent acquisition metrics.
  • Create and present regular reports on talent acquisition performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline recruiting processes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and integrate new tools and methodologies.
  • Embrace a lifelong learning mindset and encourage team growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, I/O Psychology, or a related field; extensive relevant experience may substitute for degree.
  • SHRM-CP or SCP certification obtained within one year of employment; other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, focusing on candidate experience and metrics.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading a talent acquisition team.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment metrics, data analysis, and process optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead recruitment programs for emerging and hard-to-fill talent.
  • Strong full-cycle recruitment capabilities with a focus on high-touch experiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Recruiting certifications beyond SHRM-CP or SCP.
