About the position

The Manager, Talent Acquisition at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas is responsible for developing and executing a progressive talent acquisition strategy that attracts and retains a quality workforce. This role leads a team of recruiters and sourcers, supporting the business's growth while maintaining company culture and quality standards. The position involves performance management, workload allocation, job-related reporting, and troubleshooting recruitment issues, all while enhancing internal HR processes and building candidate pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a talent acquisition strategy that aligns with industry best practices.
  • Lead and manage a team of recruiters and sourcers to successfully fill a broad spectrum of roles.
  • Support business growth while maintaining company culture and quality standards.
  • Manage performance and workload allocation for the talent acquisition team.
  • Generate reporting and provide summaries to executives on measurable areas of the department.
  • Collaborate with HRBPs and management to create recruitment strategies based on staffing requirements.
  • Participate in and manage various talent acquisition projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Stay updated on industry standards related to recruitment and selection.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, business administration, or related field; or 5+ years of proven experience in recruitment with a solid understanding of employment law and regulations.
  • 3+ years of experience developing and leading a high-performing team.
  • Demonstrated experience building successful relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with proven experience in driving change to meet business needs.
  • Effective communication skills, including excellent listening abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to gauge potential new employees and listen to staff needs.
  • Leadership skills to develop a team and coordinate roles and responsibilities.
