About the position

The Manager, Talent Management Systems at NBCUniversal is a pivotal role responsible for executing the technical strategy and managing a team that supports the company's Learning, Performance Management, and Compensation products. This position requires a blend of managerial and technical skills, as the manager will not only oversee a team of technology professionals but also engage in hands-on application configuration and testing. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including vendors and contractors, to implement effective solutions that meet the needs of the organization. In this capacity, the manager will take ownership of technical solutions related to Learning, Performance Management, and Compensation. They will engage with business partners to understand their strategies, objectives, and needs, ensuring that the solutions provided align with these requirements. The manager will also be responsible for performing system configurations, managing project activities, and providing day-to-day support for the applications and modules in scope. This includes handling tickets, vendor release adoption, IT governance tasks, and enhancements. Additionally, the role requires a continuous review and optimization of existing SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, and other third-party cloud system integrations. The manager will build and lead a high-performance team, executing managerial responsibilities while fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation. This position is hybrid, requiring in-office presence at least three days a week, and may involve occasional travel within the USA.

Responsibilities

  • Technical solution ownership for Learning, Performance Management and Compensation.
  • Engage with business partners to understand strategy, objectives and needs for processes in scope.
  • Collaborate across vendor, business partner and IT teams to provision the best solution based on requirements.
  • Provide innovative solutions beyond system limitations.
  • Perform system configuration in support of business needs.
  • Manage and execute project activities for applications/modules in scope.
  • Provide day-to-day support for applications/modules (tickets, vendor release adoption, IT governance tasks, enhancements, etc.).
  • Ability to navigate SAP HCM OM/PA modules for Talent Management specific data, understand and create RICEF specifications.
  • Continuously review and optimize existing SAP HCM, SuccessFactors and other 3rd party cloud system integrations.
  • Build and manage a high-performance team supporting all the applications/modules in scope.
  • Execute managerial responsibilities for team.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems or other relevant field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7 years of delivering high quality HR/IT solutions and related project/support work.
  • 7 years experience with core HR systems (preferred SAP HCM) and employee life cycle management (hire-to-retire).
  • 7 years experience with SaaS HR solutions, specifically SuccessFactors.
  • 7 years experience in requirements gathering techniques, solution modeling, and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Foundational knowledge of HR Talent Management processes specifically for the applications/modules in scope.
  • Excellent project/task management skills with a track record of successful delivery.
  • Strong people leadership competencies (inspire, motivate, guide).
  • Proven ability to collaborate across functions to create holistic solutions.
  • Ability to work with teams/team members across multiple office locations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
