About the position

The Manager of Financial Reporting at 3D Systems is a pivotal role for an experienced financial reporting professional. This position requires close collaboration with Senior Finance and Legal management, as well as internal and external auditors. The individual will be responsible for managing complex accounting matters, including Stock Compensation, Lease Accounting, and Stockholders Equity. The role also involves driving the internal financial reporting process and assisting with SEC filings, providing support for earnings releases, internal management reporting, and developing accounting policies and technical accounting guidance. Additionally, the Manager will engage in special projects such as acquisition and disposition accounting, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. In this role, the Manager will assist in the preparation and review of 10-Qs and 10-Ks, which includes financial statements, footnotes, and other financial information presented throughout the filings. The position requires coordination and validation of data provided by various departments, as well as support for the quarterly earnings release process, including the preparation of financial statements and schedules for earnings calls. The Manager will also perform US GAAP and SEC technical research, preparing position memos for management and external auditors, and participate in the implementation of new accounting standards. The role demands the development and review of accounting policies and procedures for the company, coordination of requests and inquiries from external auditors, and ownership of lease accounting processes and software tools. The Manager will assist with the accounting for equity-based compensation, collaborating with the compensation and benefits team and the legal team, and will be responsible for calculating basic and diluted shares. Furthermore, the Manager will prepare and present materials for the quarterly disclosure committee, ensuring that all financial reporting is accurate and compliant with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and review of 10-Qs & 10-Ks, including financial statements and footnotes.
  • Coordinate and validate data provided by other departments.
  • Support the quarterly earnings release process, including preparation of earnings release financial statements and schedules and earnings call support.
  • Perform US GAAP and SEC technical research, including preparing position memos for management and external auditors.
  • Participate in the implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Develop and review accounting policies and procedures for the company.
  • Coordinate requests and inquiries from external auditors.
  • Perform lease accounting and own lease accounting software tool.
  • Assist with the accounting for equity-based compensation working with the compensation and benefits team as well as with the legal team.
  • Calculate basic and diluted shares.
  • Prepare and present quarterly disclosure committee materials.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years 'Big 4' public accounting experience in the accounting and audit function with a primarily US public company client base.
  • 2+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting industry experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline.
  • Masters of Accounting, Business or related area preferred.
  • Licensed CPA.
  • Working knowledge of Workiva software products preferred.
