About the position
We are seeking a Technical Accounting Manager DAS to join American Tower's U.S. Accounting team. The Technical Accounting team provides direction and guidance to the operating accounting groups on all reporting compliance aspects related to U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies. Day to day you will direct a team and conduct research needed to advise on the financial reporting implications of new and amended commercial agreements, formulate position papers, and maintain accounting policy documentation for both the tower and managed networks businesses. As a Technical Accounting Manager, you will partner cross-functionally to ensure that Managed Networks business leaders are able to make informed decisions.
Responsibilities
- Direct a team and conduct research on financial reporting implications of new and amended commercial agreements.
- Formulate position papers regarding accounting policies.
- Maintain accounting policy documentation for tower and managed networks businesses.
- Provide direction and guidance on reporting compliance related to U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Partner cross-functionally with Managed Networks business leaders.
Requirements
- Experience in technical accounting and financial reporting compliance.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Ability to conduct research and formulate position papers.
- Experience in managing a team and providing direction.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in the telecommunications or managed networks industry.
- Familiarity with financial reporting software and tools.
