About the position

The Manager of Technical Operations Systems & Records at Avelo Airlines is responsible for enabling safe and reliable operations by managing the technical operations software system. This role focuses on implementing and overseeing the aircraft maintenance tracking software, AMOS, to support the airline's technical operations processes, including records management. The position aims to foster seamless teamwork and continuous improvement within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Administrate the aircraft maintenance tracking software, AMOS, including data entry, support, and process improvement.
  • Manage the Aircraft Records Department, including administration of crewmembers and aircraft records, and development of processes and procedures.
  • Facilitate the timely, successful deployment of properly configured software applications (AMOS).
  • Liaise with software provider, users, and sponsors to develop and execute software deployments.
  • Provide timely resolution of actionable software issues and develop plans to address more difficult software application and support issues.
  • Effectively interface between users, the company, and software vendors to assure resolution of near-term and longer-term actionable issues.
  • Assure appropriate training and support is made available to users to maximize the functionality of the software application.
  • Assist in the development of training material and delivery.
  • Review software use, evaluate efficacy, and propose actions to improve effectiveness.
  • Make recommendations on software purchases and objectives for future development efforts.
  • Evaluate proposed options, investigate alternatives, and develop solution recommendations.
  • Record, maintain, and provide access to digital maintenance records accurately and efficiently using AMOS.
  • Develop reports, training objectives, materials, new business processes, audit criteria, and recommendations.
  • Work with software at all stages including recommendations on purchases, implementation, enhancements, updates, and resolving issues.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of using the AMOS software product; higher levels of experience preferred.
  • Experience in working with Aircraft Records.
  • Experience in aviation.
  • Experience working with test, pre-production, and production application environments.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience performing comparable responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AMOS functions and work processes.
  • Project management skills.
  • Process mapping and process design with a bias toward simplicity.
  • Software maintenance, operations, and e-Ticket system management/measurement.
  • Vendor management and issue resolution.
  • Strong critical thinking with an analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to work through complexity to identify root causes and develop effective and simple solutions.
  • Ability to clearly instruct and teach others.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, develop relationships, and motivate performance.
  • Tenacious problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
