About the position

The Technical Operations Program Manager within Amazon's Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is responsible for leading complex technical programs that enhance the management of occupancy planning. This role involves cross-functional collaboration to ensure that technology initiatives are customer-centric and effectively implemented, while also driving continuous improvement in processes and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own continuous improvement and related technology requirements for the Occupancy Planning organization.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive program plans outlining goals, timelines, resource requirements, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Serve as the single point of contact to technical teams, defining process improvements and business requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day activities of multiple technology and data initiatives, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
  • Facilitate status meetings with project teams and stakeholders to communicate progress and address issues.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve complex problems or roadblocks during program execution.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and technology teams.
  • Implement agile and hybrid delivery methodologies for timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Facilities Management, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in technical program management or a related role.
  • 8+ years of experience in corporate real estate, facilities management, or space planning.

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy and end-to-end delivery of complex programs.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Expertise in program management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, JIRA, Confluence).
  • Experience leading large projects in a matrixed organization.
  • Proficiency in project management and analytics software (e.g., MS Office, MS Project, Smartsheet).
  • Intermediate skills in data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Global mindset with experience working across different cultures.
