About the position

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Manager of Technical Product Management to lead and drive the end-to-end strategy and technical product management for our innovative and disruptive products. This role is designed as a hybrid position, with an expectation of working 2-3 days per week from an HPE office. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the value proposition, customer segmentation, and business case for our products, ensuring alignment with business segment goals across all phases of the product lifecycle, including planning, development, launch, management, and exit. This position requires a deep understanding of market requirements and the ability to synthesize these into actionable marketing and customer details, leveraging intimate customer knowledge and strong business acumen. In this role, you will lead product teams to evaluate and assess key operational metrics such as revenue, market share, and quality performance. You will also be responsible for customer and field partner enablement for server management products. The ideal candidate will have a strong technology foundation, proven experience in technical product management, and the ability to mentor and lead teams through complex projects. Responsibilities

  • Leads and drives the approach for the end-to-end strategy and technical product management and enablement.
  • Defines the value proposition, customer segmentation, and business case for innovative and disruptive products.
  • Synthesizes market requirements into marketing/customer details through customer knowledge and business acumen.
  • Aligns product lifecycle to business segment goals across all phases of the product lifecycle.
  • Leads product team in evaluating and assessing key operational metrics such as revenue, market share, and quality performance.
  • Facilitates customer and field partner enablement for server management products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or related field of study.
  • MBA or advanced degree in computer science or engineering preferred.
  • 8+ years of work experience in technical product management.
  • Proven ability to define and execute a business strategy that drives operational excellence and profit.
  • Strong technology foundation and business acumen with an understanding of technology strategy in the market.
  • Demonstrated experience leading people and teams on complex projects.
  • Advanced team and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and lead teams to achieve results.
  • Advanced skills in cost-efficient solution building and financial performance metric creation and analysis.
  • Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry.
