About the position

The Manager of Technical Product Management at SEB Professional North America will lead the Technical Product Management organization, focusing on overseeing product lines for the brands Schaerer, WMF, and Wilbur Curtis. This role involves managing product development processes, ensuring successful market launches, and collaborating with various teams to enhance product strategies and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Technical Product Management organization by setting clear goals and expectations.
• Define strategic direction of Technical Product management in alignment with Global Product development teams.
• Own the product development gate process in the Americas for the three brands, including milestones and deliverables.
• Provide guidance and expertise for product teams, leading and coaching the Technical Product Management team.
• Regularly review products with internal stakeholders to ensure they meet expectations.
• Work closely with the Product success team to ensure a smooth hand-off for bringing products to market and addressing product issues.
• Lead and coordinate customer-specific projects.
• Develop product strategies and roadmaps with a customer-first mindset.
• Identify talent needs for projects, ensuring timelines are met.
• Drive partnership and collaboration with other teams, including Software Development.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10 or more years of work experience, or an Advanced Degree with at least 8 years of work experience.
• Involvement in product strategy from prototyping through to field testing and successful market launch.
• Field testing experience, with the ability to conduct and leverage field insights for product refinement.
• Experience in the Food and Beverage Equipment sector, particularly with coffee and hot dispensed beverages is a plus.
• People management experience and working with regional and global teams.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and product marketing.
