About the position

As a Manager of Technical Program Management at Amazon Payment Products, you will lead a team that significantly impacts how millions of customers pay on Amazon every day. Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Technical Program Managers to deliver high-impact projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and business teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Communicate regularly with leadership on project status, risks, and changes in strategy.
  • Identify and implement critical programs in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Develop career plans and growth opportunities for team members.

  • Provide architectural guidance and direction throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical product or program management.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing technical teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in hiring and developing high-performing teams.
  • Ability to use data and metrics to evaluate outcomes and back up assumptions.
  • Hands-on experience as an individual contributor while guiding a team toward objectives.
  • Ability to provide architectural guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field.
  • Deep hands-on technical expertise with prior experience as a software developer.
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies and large team software development.
  • Experience managing teams of 6 or more people.
  • Payments experience would be a plus.
