About the position

The Manager, Technical Project Management at Peraton is responsible for overseeing the successful technical, schedule, and cost performance of major programs. This role requires collaboration with customers to understand their needs and proactively identify improvement opportunities. The ideal candidate will act as a scrum master, manage multiple projects, and ensure compliance with contract requirements while maintaining a focus on quality control and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the successful technical, schedule, and cost performance of a major program, in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Act as scrum master.
  • Manage one or more projects or programs and supervise professional and technical personnel performing their customary disciplines.
  • Maintain aggressive efforts to achieve objectives and train and supervise personnel.
  • Monitor contract, subcontract, and funding; understand and proactively monitor forecasts of program financial performance.
  • Collaborate closely with customer Project Manager to identify, prioritize and implement system updates.
  • Work closely with customer COR for any deliverable or contractual topics or issues; monitor, assess and proactively communicate issues, concerns, or problems.
  • Effectively manage and oversee the task order and all aspects of work associated with providing services to the SEC in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Develop and maintain an effective quality control program (QCP) to ensure services are performed and deliverables provided in accordance with the PWS.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience, may have supervisory or lead experience.
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams through the data engineering and migration process.
  • Working knowledge and implementation of agile framework and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading data engineering and migration in an AWS environment.
  • Proficiency in cloud computing technologies and services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Experience implementing change management processes to minimize disruption during the migration process.
  • Ability to identify and address technical challenges that may arise during the migration process.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and optimization of cloud infrastructure and services post-migration.
  • Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Certifications: Agile Scrum Master, PMP.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications: AWS Practitioner
  • Bachelors Degree is a plus.
  • Experience working with cloud service providers and third-party vendors to facilitate the migration process.
  • Experience in the full-life cycle of system development, including technical documentation, development, testing, and implementation.
