About the position

Peraton is seeking a Program Manager to oversee and coordinate the aviation program for our customer, ensuring effective management of engineering requirements and operational activities. The role requires strong leadership skills and a background in aviation management, with a focus on managing multiple projects and ensuring timely completion within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage aviation projects, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and external partners to align project objectives and deliverables.
  • Coordinate and allocate resources effectively to maximize productivity and efficiency across projects.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring financial accountability.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor project progress to ensure objectives are met.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating project outcomes and implementing lessons learned in future projects.
  • Responsible for all phases of the program budget and monthly Program Management Reviews.

Requirements

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and operational tempos simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in program or project management within the aviation or like industry.
  • Prior customer experience with TS/SCI and active polygraph.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $135,000 - $216,000 based on experience and other factors.
