About the position

As the Manager of Technology Project Management and Agile Transformation at Colonial Pipeline Company, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team dedicated to executing high-impact technology projects. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and alignment with strategic business objectives. You will be responsible for transforming project management practices by adopting agile methodologies and other best practices, managing project risks and issues, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance work environment. Your leadership will be critical in enhancing program and project management, business process management, and technology capabilities within the organization. In this role, you will develop and communicate a clear project vision and plan, motivating your team to achieve objectives while effectively managing alliances with third parties. You will identify and implement best practices for technology project management and agile practices to drive continuous improvement and high performance. Navigating and resolving complex project challenges will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will managing a portfolio of technology projects to ensure they align with organizational goals and strategic objectives. You will ensure adherence to established project management standards and methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall. Leading the implementation of agile methodologies across technology teams, you will drive cultural change towards agile practices by facilitating workshops, training sessions, and coaching to enhance team agility and productivity. Proactively identifying project risks and developing mitigation strategies will be essential to address potential issues, while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment of project objectives. Regularly preparing and presenting project updates, status reports, and metrics to senior leadership and key stakeholders will also be part of your role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in project management, leading complex technology projects.
  • 3+ years of experience with agile methodologies.
  • 5+ years of people leadership/management experience.
  • PMP, SCRUM, or SAFe Certified.
  • Consistent, successful performance managing large and complex projects/programs.
  • Strong customer service focus, driven to deliver timely solutions.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

Nice-to-haves

  • 4+ years in the Energy Sector.
  • 8+ years of people management experience.
  • 10+ years in Project or Program management.
