About the position

The Manager, Ticket Sales at Birmingham Barons is a key role responsible for developing and executing ticket sales strategies to achieve revenue and attendance goals. This position requires a motivated and organized sales professional who will lead efforts in selling season tickets, group events, and hospitality packages while providing exceptional customer service. The role involves collaboration with the General Manager and contributing to a positive sales team culture.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for new season ticket sales, individual and packaged suites/hospitality, and group events.
  • Meet and exceed established weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals.
  • Implement outbound sales efforts using best practices, prospecting, networking, and lead generation.
  • Generate a minimum number of weekly out-of-office and in-ballpark face-to-face meetings to create new business opportunities.
  • Provide superior customer service to suite clients, season ticket holders, and new business prospects.
  • Create and implement unique sales strategies and programs to produce new business opportunities.
  • Contribute positively to the sales team culture and develop working relationships with team members.
  • Participate in sales team meetings and training sessions.
  • Model and reinforce the Barons' expectations of positivity and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of prior outbound sports sales experience.
  • Minimum one year of management experience.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in community networking and relationship building.
  • Basic computer skills and project management experience.
