Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with up to 4 years of equivalent education, experience, and training.
• Currently enrolled in a degree program or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and weekends.
• 1 year of management experience or equivalent education and training.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree plus 1 year of management experience or equivalent education and training.

Responsibilities

• Learn to build and maintain positive professional relationships with drivers and outside carriers.
• Fill in for absent personnel and work on special projects related to fleet operations.
• Utilize personnel management including training and orientation of drivers and employees.
• Maximize efficiency of fleet operations and profitability, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Gain knowledge on managing inventory, assets, and assignment of drivers.
• Perform administrative duties such as payroll management and financial reporting.
• Manage yard operations including equipment inspection and maintenance coordination.
• Work with drivers and customers to resolve service issues and mechanical problems.
• Maintain the company's safety culture and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
• Assign loads and plan, route, and monitor freight movement.
