About the position
The Manager in Training (MIT) position at AutoZone is a transitional role designed to prepare individuals for management positions within retail or commercial store operations. This role includes both work assignments and training opportunities, with the potential for promotion to a management position within approximately 8-12 weeks, depending on prior experience and performance.
Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in overall store operations and management.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and drive store performance.
- Manage, analyze, and reconcile monthly Profit and Loss statements.
- Oversee employee staffing, training, and development.
- Lead inventory management efforts.
- Complete operations and management skills training.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of previous experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
- Ability to work a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Bilingual preferred, but not required.
- Previous automotive experience preferred, but not required.
- Experience analyzing company financials, including Profit and Loss statements, preferred, but not required.
