About the position

The Transaction Advisory Services Manager is responsible for managing financial, accounting, and operational due diligence engagements, ensuring effective delivery of quality services and products. This role involves analyzing financial results, conducting interviews with C-level personnel, and composing detailed financial due diligence reports. The manager will also oversee the work of associates, provide training, and develop business opportunities through relationship building.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and oversees the due diligence process, applying BDO standards for quality service delivery.
  • Analyzes financial and operating results in the context of proposed transactions.
  • Conducts industry, company, and technical accounting research to assist clients.
  • Conducts interviews with C-level personnel at target companies.
  • Identifies and proposes resolutions to critical M&A process issues.
  • Composes financial due diligence reports highlighting key issues affecting transactions.
  • Manages relationships and information flow between BDO, clients, and target companies.
  • Partners with senior management to identify and pursue business development opportunities.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with BDO professionals in other lines of business.
  • Researches and develops proposal documents and participates in client presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance required.
  • Four or more years of public accounting experience required.
  • One or more years of Transaction Advisory Services experience preferred.
  • Experience interacting with C-level personnel preferred.
  • CPA, CPA candidate, or CA preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, specifically in business writing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in technical accounting areas such as US GAAP.
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of data to identify potential issues.
