About the position

The Manager of Transformation & Change Management at Mitsubishi Chemical America is responsible for leading change initiatives and transformation projects within the organization. This role involves establishing a change management methodology, facilitating training, and ensuring effective communication throughout the change process. The manager will work closely with leadership to identify areas for change, develop actionable plans, and oversee the implementation of these initiatives to align with the company's culture and values.

Responsibilities

  • Map transformation projects led by Digital to defined processes and perform calibration/management/facilitation within the region.
  • Establish MCG-style Change Management methodology and perform Change Management activities in transformation projects.
  • Lead the design and execution of Change Management training to foster a change-oriented mindset within the region.
  • Drive regional change and co-develop change and training materials for local teams.
  • Manage business change through effective communication and accelerate implementation of changes.
  • Work closely with leadership to identify areas of needed change and develop actionable change management plans.
  • Manage a team of change management specialists to ensure effective delivery of change initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, acting as a liaison between senior management and employees.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and tracking of change management initiatives, including communication plans and training programs.
  • Monitor and report on the status of change initiatives, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and return on investment (ROI).
  • Evaluate potential risks and roadblocks related to change initiatives and develop mitigation plans.
  • Oversee the development of training materials and facilitate training sessions to support change initiatives.
  • Ensure that change initiatives are aligned with organizational culture and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or IT required.
  • 5-7 years of experience in change management or related areas required.
  • Proven experience in managing a team.
  • Transformation experience with change management skills.
  • Leadership experience with applicable negotiation skills.
  • Organizational management experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of working experience in IT department preferred.
  • Experience in operating MCG business preferred.
  • Global program management experience.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and influencing.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of business processes.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Change management methodology practitioner preferred.
  • Ability to work in a global, complex business environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in organizational management is preferred.
  • Knowledge of change management methodologies is preferred.
