About the position

The Manager of the Trauma Program at McLaren Flint is responsible for promoting optimal emergency trauma care services. This role involves implementing programs, coordinating activities, and evaluating systems, processes, and outcomes related to trauma care. The manager will oversee logistic information, daily data processing, and monitor the effectiveness of interactions among all involved services, including case management and resource utilization.

Responsibilities

  • Promote optimal emergency trauma care services through program implementation.
  • Coordinate activities and evaluate systems, processes, and outcomes.
  • Oversee logistic information and daily data processing.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of interactions among involved services, including case management.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Support continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Exercise independent judgment in decision-making.
  • Plan and organize departmental activities efficiently.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed to practice in the State of Michigan.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of trauma clinical experience in either the Emergency Department or Critical Care.
  • CPR and ACLS Certifications.
  • TNCC Certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • CEN certification.
  • TNCC Instructor certification.
  • Relevant Master's Degree (nursing preferred).
