About the position

The role is focused on overseeing the Underwriting Service Center of Excellence (SCE) at ICW Group. The position involves managing day-to-day operations, establishing policies and procedures, and ensuring efficient coordination between locations. The individual will lead a team, enhance customer satisfaction, and implement training programs while collaborating with other departments to align operations with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Establish policies and procedures for SCE operations to ensure coordination, efficiency, and consistency.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the SCE, including staff management and policy implementation.
• Provide excellent customer service by developing strategies to improve customer satisfaction and handling inquiries professionally.
• Develop and implement training programs for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Monitor performance and quality of work, implementing performance metrics and quality control processes.
• Manage budgets and resources, strategizing new automation processes and ensuring efficient resource use.
• Collaborate with other leaders and managers to align operations with organizational goals.
• Lead the team of SCE Supervisors, fostering a culture of focus, honor, passion, and integrity.
• Guide the team with strategic and tactical direction, emphasizing development and retention.
• Support team members in solving complex problems and answering questions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field required.
• Minimum 4 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of insurance underwriting concepts and principles.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to create a vision and strategy for long-term success of the SCE.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
