About the position

The Manager, Vehicle Operations at Ready Logistics is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of carriers in the North Region, ensuring that all operational needs are met through effective management and strategic planning. This role requires a deep understanding of carrier processes, recruitment, and onboarding, as well as the ability to analyze trends and performance metrics to drive improvements and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of carriers in the North Region.
• Monitor and analyze trends to meet operational needs.
• Oversee carrier recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on carrier needs and expectations.
• Optimize regional carrier networks for on-time delivery and client satisfaction.
• Manage carrier retention and address high-level escalations.
• Communicate regional carrier needs to the executive team.
• Prepare and present operational metrics for business reviews.
• Introduce and modify processes to enhance carrier engagement.
• Coach and develop team members to create a cohesive environment.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field.
• 1+ year of experience in a management or lead role.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to develop practical strategies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other business applications.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree and 4 years' experience or a Ph.D. with 1 year experience in a related field.
• Experience in a highly matrixed environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
