About the position

The Warehouse Logistics Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse logistics function. The role focuses on optimizing processes, reducing costs, and enhancing overall performance metrics to ensure operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse logistics operations.
  • Collaborate with warehouse management, logistics teams, and stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop strategic plans and implement sustainable solutions to optimize processes and reduce costs.
  • Utilize data analysis, process mapping, and performance metrics to identify areas for enhancement.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in implementing best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence throughout the warehouse logistics function.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to warehouse logistics staff in achieving improvement goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of improvement initiatives, adjusting as necessary.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in warehouse logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards in all warehouse logistics activities.
  • Communicate progress, results, and challenges to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in warehouse logistics processes and develop strategies to optimize workflow and improve efficiency.
  • Understanding of supply chain principles and ability to coordinate logistics activities with suppliers, carriers, and other stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
  • Ability to lead change initiatives and effectively manage resistance to change.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional projects, developing project plans, and managing timelines.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and initiatives to diverse audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex issues.
