About the position

The Manager, Warehousing Operations at Estes Forwarding Worldwide is responsible for overseeing all fiscal and operational functions within the assigned warehouse location. This role involves leading and managing operations and sales to ensure high levels of service, quality, and customer satisfaction. The manager is accountable for maintaining profitable operations, guiding sales efforts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for maintaining profitable, cost-efficient operations.
• Lead, direct, and manage site operations to ensure maximum profitability and superior customer service.
• Assist the team with moving freight, stock, or other materials as needed.
• Manage location and company resources to facilitate quality and efficient operations.
• Establish and maintain positive customer relations while managing daily issue resolution.
• Continuously improve processes to ensure excellent customer relations.
• Review and evaluate location P&L performance and adjust goals to maintain profitability.
• Ensure safe and timely expediting of freight and a safe work environment for staff.
• Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks once authorized.
• Ability to identify issues and opportunities in customer service.
• Experience managing financial aspects of warehouse locations.
• Experience managing external service providers.
• In-depth knowledge of all products and services offered.
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills at a management level.
• Demonstrated team leadership and participative management skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and comply with written information and documents.
• Ability to write comprehensive reports and detailed business correspondence.
• Ability to solve problems with concrete variables through semi-standardized solutions.

Nice-to-haves

• Five to seven years of experience within the transportation industry is preferred.
• Five years of supervisory or managerial experience is desired.
