About the position

The Wealth Planning Manager at Parallel Advisors will play a crucial role in a rapidly growing Registered Investment Advisory firm, focusing on enhancing client-advisor relationships through comprehensive financial planning, including estate and income tax planning. This position involves leading a planning team, collaborating with various departments, and managing complex client relationships, particularly with ultra-high-net-worth and multi-generational clients. The role is hybrid, requiring three days in the Dallas office and two days remote, and reports directly to the Head of Family Office.

Responsibilities

• Determine the strategic direction of the planning team and its services.
• Manage the planning team, including coaching and professional development.
• Restructure and grow the planning group as a revenue-generating entity.
• Manage workflow efficiencies and optimize processes.
• Partner with advisors for business development with new or existing clients.
• Execute sophisticated planning engagements.
• Educate advisors on substantive planning topics.
• Support broader firm initiatives as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Financial Planning, Economics, or related field.
• CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) or CFA Level III required.
• CPA, JD, or MBA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of financial planning experience.
• Prior single- or multi-family office experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience is preferred.
• Experience with equity compensation and its tax impacts.
• Experience with multi-generational estate planning.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with planning software (MoneyGuide Pro preferred).
• Highly proactive with a disciplined work ethic.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
