About the position

The Senior Manager, Web and Mobile Systems serves as the IT partner to the Marketing business unit, overseeing all production technology solutions that facilitate consumer interactions through online channels. This role combines operational management with strategic leadership for corporate websites and mobile applications, ensuring optimal consumer experiences and adherence to industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop products and features for the website and mobile systems focusing on optimizing and enhancing the consumer experience.
  • Regularly interface with technology partners, Marketing Teams, and Vendors to manage delivery of projects and production support of the web and mobile platforms.
  • Execute business strategy by providing representation on cross-functional teams supporting current and future initiatives.
  • Stay informed on industry trends for web and mobile, particularly in the quick service restaurant sector.
  • Track and understand implications of new developments in key areas such as Apple and Android operating systems, restaurant websites, and mobile apps.
  • Organize and report on consumer and system metrics to inform platform management and strategy.
  • Communicate project progress to internal stakeholders and management.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts with clear service levels and monitoring requirements.
  • Provide support outside of business hours as needed to resolve key support issues.
  • Ensure design and development activities adhere to industry best practices and regulations related to data security.
  • Partner with the Enterprise Architecture team to support R&D initiatives impacting consumers.
  • Assist in the development of department goals and budgets, and measure results.
  • Lead teams from various functional areas to achieve project goals.
  • Select, direct, and provide coaching to the project team.
  • Responsible for staff hiring, development, training, performance reviews, and retention.
  • Participate in project initiation and planning phases by gathering data and requirements.
  • Monitor and report project status to the team, sponsors, and leadership.
  • Utilize project management tools for risk management, issues resolution, change management, quality assurance, and document management.
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed with quality, on time, and within budget.
  • Participate in post-project evaluations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with concentration in IT or business.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive, relevant IT experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of website/e-Commerce system design and implementation experience.
  • Preferred experience in using Day/Adobe CQ Content Management System.
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant applications and technical platforms including HTML, JavaScript, Linux, Java, CSS, Apache, web analytics, and SEO/SEM.
  • Experience implementing systems and processes, preferably in a restaurant or retail environment.
  • Experience with Vendor Management and Release Management.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent Time Management Skills.
  • Practical experience in building business and technical requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to meet common objectives through teamwork.
  • Excellent verbal, written communications and presentation skills, especially in presenting technical topics to non-technical customers.
  • Strong partnering skills and a service leadership mindset.
  • Extremely well organized with good project management skills and high attention to detail.
