About the position

The Manager of Youth Initiatives at Family & Children's Agency (FCA) is responsible for coordinating efforts to end youth homelessness in Fairfield County. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, integrating health and housing services, and supervising staff to enhance system performance and promote racial equity in youth services. The position also includes community engagement and advocacy to align resources for youth support.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate key stakeholders and resources to end youth homelessness.
• Advance integration of health/behavioral health and housing services.
• Monitor and improve system performance related to youth services.
• Supervise the Norwalk Mobility Coordinator and VOCA staff.
• Strengthen partnerships with youth-serving systems and stakeholders.
• Support the Youth to Lead Change (Y-TLC) advisory board and its members.
• Collaborate with Housing Collective staff on system change and improvement.
• Utilize data to assess project and system performance for quality improvement.
• Facilitate the Youth Engagement Team Initiative (YETI) Workgroup.
• Conduct community needs analysis related to youth homelessness and advocate for necessary resources.
• Attend regional and statewide meetings to inform stakeholders on trends and barriers.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in a Human Services field.
• Licensed within respective area of study and certification to provide graduate level supervision to interns.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Awareness of cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of clients served.
• Knowledge of youth systems and services for youth.
