About the position

The Manager, Zero Trust Security will lead the implementation of NFCU's Zero Trust Security framework, managing a team in a dynamic environment. This role involves developing technology strategies, collaborating with stakeholders, and serving as a strategic advisor to ensure the adoption of Zero Trust principles across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of technology strategy and a roadmap towards a Zero Trust paradigm.
  • Utilize threat modeling techniques to develop Zero Trust controls for architecture data, assets, applications, and services.
  • Champion Zero Trust principles across all pillars of delivery at NFCU.
  • Partner with stakeholders to shift the access and authentication paradigm to Zero Trust Security.
  • Assist with leading and training team members to deliver high-quality products.
  • Participate in shaping budget requirements and alignment to strategic initiatives.
  • Serve as the Business Product Owner for NFCU's Zero Trust strategy.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture to define and deliver the blueprint for a Zero Trust platform.
  • Act as an advisor on authorization and authentication systems.
  • Build strong partnerships with business units to promote adoption of Zero Trust capabilities.
  • Collaborate with senior management on prioritization and implementation of Zero Trust capabilities.
  • Guide team development for continual growth in technical, soft, and leadership skills.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and practices.
  • Supervise daily activities and establish performance goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in implementing Zero Trust principles.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering Zero Trust capabilities.
  • Deep technology expertise in infrastructure including cloud and hybrid implementations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Significant experience in enterprise security and familiarity with data architecture and identity ecosystems.
  • Understanding of leading security frameworks including Zero Trust.
  • Expertise in secure authentication and data patterns.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver on multiple priorities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud HCM, Azure, Saviynt, data lakes, and SIEMs.
  • Experience within a credit union or financial services institution.
  • Familiarity with working with regulators in the financial services industry.
  • Professional Certifications (CCZT, ZTCA, CSA, CISA, CISSP, etc.).
  • Master's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
