About the position

The Managerial Consultant IV - Outside Medical Strategy at Kaiser Permanente serves as a key consultant responsible for aligning diverse stakeholders to implement strategic business initiatives and projects across various functional areas. This role involves driving business strategy, managing complex projects, and ensuring compliance with policies while fostering collaboration among team members and stakeholders. The consultant will lead change management efforts, assess performance metrics, and support vendor management as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes learning in others by providing resources and expertise; builds relationships with stakeholders.
  • Completes work autonomously and supports business-specific projects by applying expertise to generate solutions.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to achieve effective business decisions and solves complex problems.
  • Serves as a consultant to ensure alignment and coordination of stakeholders for business initiatives.
  • Drives business strategy and prioritization of initiatives by working closely with executives.
  • Leads project/program team members by coordinating resources based on project demands.
  • Develops requirements for large-scale business solutions by interfacing with stakeholders.
  • Leads the development and implementation of business initiatives and processes.
  • Manages complex, cross-functional projects by coordinating stakeholders and resources.
  • Proactively monitors and identifies risks and issues in projects and business initiatives.
  • Designs and leads change management plans to support business initiatives.
  • Drives assessment of strategic performance metrics to support business initiatives.
  • Advocates for continuous learning and professional development within the organization.
  • Supports vendor management by reviewing performance and ensuring service agreements are met.
  • Monitors compliance of work activities with relevant policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and minimum six (6) years experience in consulting, project management, data analytics, operations or a directly related field.
  • Masters degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Health Services Administration, or related field and minimum four (4) years experience in consulting, project management, data analytics, operations or a directly related field.
  • Minimum nine (9) years experience in consulting, project management, data analytics, operations or a directly related field.
  • Knowledge of business acumen, change management, negotiation, and business process improvement.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in healthcare consulting or related fields.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and methodologies.
