About the position

The Managing Consultant for Capital Projects & Infrastructure at Guidehouse is responsible for overseeing and managing capital projects from planning through maintenance and operations. This role requires a deep understanding of the capital project lifecycle, risk management, construction project management, and performance metrics. The consultant will lead teams, develop strategic plans, and ensure effective project governance while supporting clients in capital-intensive industries.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the capital project lifecycle from planning through maintenance and operations.
• Support or lead project governance, risk management, and construction project management.
• Conduct complex schedule analytics and manage performance metrics and project reporting.
• Lead, direct, and review the work of team members to accomplish project plans and results.
• Develop road mapping and strategic plans for informed investment decisions.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in capital projects and infrastructure consulting.
• Experience directly leading client relationships and engagement teams.
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local procurement regulations for technology implementation.
• Engineering or technical expertise in project controls and project management technology.
• Experience drafting formal communications to clients.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree (MBA, MPP, MPA, etc.)
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or EIT.
• Experience managing PMIS deployment across multiple industries.
