The Exec Information Security Manager manages multiple teams led by senior managers and managers that are responsible for delivering programmatic and strategic management support to Cybersecurity Operational functions. This job oversees Cybersecurity Operational functions including the Security Operations Center, Incident Response, Data Loss Prevention & Insider Threat, Cyber Threat Intelligence, and Vulnerability Management. This role is responsible for management reporting, control governance, measurement, and reporting for ongoing monthly/quarterly business review cadences for internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, this position has ownership of short to mid-term (1-3 years) strategy execution and operational direction in alignment with parent/independent organization objectives. In this role, you will lead Cybersecurity Operations, including the Security Operations Center, Incident Response, Data Loss Prevention & Insider Threat, Cyber Threat Intelligence, and Vulnerability Management. You will oversee 24x7 operational teams responsible for detecting, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity events and incidents, working across the firm to mitigate risk and assess business impact. You will also lead cross-functional response teams to provide timely and well-coordinated response activities for cybersecurity incidents affecting the firm, subsidiaries, and applicable third parties. Your responsibilities will include establishing strategy, vision, and direction for Cybersecurity Operations in close consultation and collaboration with the Chief Information Security Officer, Deputy Chief Information Security Officer, and key internal stakeholders. You will manage the performance of your team through regular feedback and the formal performance review process to ensure exceptional service delivery, engagement, motivation, and development of team members. Additionally, you will partner with Engineering leaders to oversee the cost/benefit evaluation of cybersecurity tools and solutions, proactively leading the Operations teams to identify undetected threats and vulnerabilities in the network and systems, and recommending mitigation techniques and actions. You will also develop the organization's global strategies and initiatives to enhance Cybersecurity plans, operations, and procedures, cascading the TIAA Cybersecurity strategy throughout the organization in line with TIAA's mission and strategic intent.
