About the position
The Managing Director II Head of Distributions role at Comerica Bank is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing a team that specializes in arranging and distributing syndicated loans and capital market debt facilities. This role involves leading deal teams, ensuring compliance with regulations, and enhancing the skills of team members to drive growth in net interest income (NII).
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of loan syndications colleagues to grow net interest income through arranging and distributing syndicated loans and capital market debt facilities.
- Serve as the deal team lead, managing the execution of mandates from due diligence to timely closing.
- Provide training and development opportunities for colleagues on the Distributions team.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and risk management training for the team.
Requirements
- 4 year Bachelor Degree
- 10 or more years of experience in the Banking/Financial Services industry
- 7 years of experience in Investment Banking/Corporate Finance/Loan Syndications or other Capital Markets areas, with knowledge of the loan syndication process and various private placement debt and equity products
- 3 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Required licenses: series 7, 63, 79, 24 (can have 24 in progress if not currently supervising)
