About the position

The Director of Implementation Services at Charles River Development is responsible for creating and managing a referenceable client base within their assigned territory. This role involves overseeing teams of consultants, ensuring successful implementation of the Alpha Data Platform (ADP), and collaborating with sales leadership to develop business opportunities. The Director will interface with clients and internal divisions, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and adherence to company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee staff including senior implementation managers, product specialists, and consultants on client projects.
  • Hire, mentor, train, and motivate staff to ensure effective utilization.
  • Achieve revenue goals and customer satisfaction targets for the Implementation Services group.
  • Conduct regular project reviews to assess implementation status and resolve issues.
  • Work hands-on with clients to ensure successful, on-schedule, and on-budget project delivery.
  • Serve as a liaison to Sales, R&D, and other departments to share expertise and resolve issues.
  • Continuously improve implementation practices and procedures for cost-effective deployments.
  • Participate in the sales process by presenting implementation methodologies to prospects.
  • Prepare realistic estimates, assumption documents, and SOWs for customer contracts.
  • Conduct staff reviews and assess personnel for compensation and promotion purposes.
  • Maintain utilization of 20-30% through value-add management activities such as project reviews and meetings.

Requirements

  • BA/MS degree in Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematical Finance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in implementing financial systems and delivering multi-tier financial applications.
  • Proven experience managing a team of 10+ consultants.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and manage cross-functional processes and project timelines.
  • Understanding of the implementation lifecycle and methodologies.
  • Expert knowledge in implementing Data Services offerings in the investment trading space.
  • Hands-on experience with EDM and Security Master implementations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Front, Middle, or Back Office Investment Management systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of RDBMS such as MS SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Specific knowledge of the investment industry including financial instruments and workflows.
