About the position

The Managing Director, Insurance Advisory at EPAM Systems is a strategic leadership role focused on managing and scaling the service line to include Strategy Advisory. This position involves leveraging expertise to build a global start-up, driving strategic and operational excellence, and serving as a trusted advisor to high-level executives and boards. The role emphasizes innovation, growth opportunities in M&A, Data and AI, and the delivery of disruptive business capabilities to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and scale the EPAM service line to include Strategy Advisory.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Boards of Directors, C-level executives, and the Investment Community.
  • Drive strategic and operational excellence, process improvements, and operating model enhancements.
  • Evolve service delivery methods for new and existing clients.
  • Combine business and technology expertise to define and deploy disruptive business capabilities.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Managing Director (Partner, or equivalent level) with primary client relationship responsibility.
  • Minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience managing and mentoring high-performing strategy teams.
  • Structured problem-solving approach with demonstrated aptitude for analytical and conceptual problem-solving.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels in an organization.
  • Bachelor's degree, engineering or science preferred; advanced degree is also preferred.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English and local office language(s).
  • Deep P&C insurance skills with specialization in commercial and specialty lines of business.
  • Proven track record for building an advisory business at a major brand consulting firm.
  • Experience leading business development and sales with revenue goals of at least $8-10m annually.
  • Managing engagement delivery with engagement revenue targets of at least $10m annually.
  • Relationships with top-tier insurers.
  • Proven agility for selling and delivering both upfront business consulting engagement and transformational technology programs.
  • Experience with leading software package solutions across underwriting, policy administration, billing, claims.
