About the position

The Managing Director will serve as a senior coverage banker within the Corporate Banking Division, focusing on Healthcare Services companies. This role encompasses the entire client transactional process, including new client acquisition, deal origination, financing, and closing transactions. The Managing Director will also be responsible for cross-selling Citizens' Capital Markets and Treasury Management products to the Healthcare Services client base.

Responsibilities

  • Actively partner with portfolio management, leveraged finance, capital markets, and risk management.
  • Demonstrate commitment to growing existing client relationships and developing new relationships through rigorous prospect calling efforts.
  • Drive overall client relationship and profitability while cross-selling the full slate of bank products.
  • Interact with senior management of public and privately owned healthcare companies and Private Equity firms' portfolio companies.
  • Develop new relationships and enhance the bank's position with existing clients by presenting financial solutions.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to the bank's senior management at screening and approval meetings in conjunction with deal team partners.
  • Influence and function well in a team environment, debating transaction merits and defending positions internally and externally.
  • Monitor changes in government Healthcare policy and sub-sector reimbursement trends.
  • Maintain a high level of trust and confidence with senior line and risk management.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Healthcare banking/corporate finance experience with competency in client relationship management, financial analysis, and credit structuring.
  • Seasoned, credit-trained banker with experience in a credit-intensive environment.
  • Skilled in negotiation and developing loan structuring options for multi-bank transactions.
  • Experience managing large credit exposures and complex credit situations.
  • Meaningful experience with Healthcare Services companies and ability to up-tier relationships to Left Lead and Joint Lead Arranger.
  • Strong experience in credit, documentation, proposal, and negotiations both internally and externally.
  • Superior knowledge of Healthcare credit and risk analysis.
  • Demonstrated desire to succeed and drive business.
  • Comprehensive written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reputation as a team player.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Series 79 or 7 & 63 licenses.
